The search for Riley Strain, a college student from Missouri who went missing two weeks ago, has come to a tragic end with the discovery of his body in a river in Nashville.
Early Friday morning, around 7:30 a.m., the body of Strain was located in the Cumberland River in the western part of Nashville, as confirmed by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The police have stated that there were no signs of trauma related to any criminal activity on Strain’s body, and autopsy results reveal death was ‘accidental’.

Strain’s last known sighting was on March 8, when he was asked to leave a bar owned by country singer Luke Bryan in the heart of Nashville.
Following his departure from the bar, the 22-year-old was captured on surveillance cameras twice; first, crossing the street away from the bar, and then again a few minutes later on a different security camera. Strain also had a short interaction with the police sometime afterwards.
His fraternity brothers, who were visiting Nashville with him, reported him missing the next day.
In response, police launched an extensive search operation. Despite their efforts, there were no leads until March 16, when Strain’s bank card was found near the Cumberland River.
