12-Year-Old’s Birthday Wish Is To Find A Loving Family To Adopt Him- Let's Help

A young boy’s only wish for his upcoming birthday is simply to be adopted by a loving family.

For nearly three years, 12 year old Samuel has been in foster care in Texas, and he’s ready to find a family and a home.

“I’ve been there since February 8, 2017,” Samuel told KWTX.

While the young boy admitted he’s tired of child protective services, he’s not tired of the people he’s met. If anything, he has drawn inspiration from a pretty tight situation and is trying to make the best of it.

“I’m tired of CPS,” Samuel told KWTX. “Well I’m tired of being in it, but I’m not tired of the people.”

Samuel’s case worker, Katie Thomas, revealed, “He said that he wants to open a residential treatment center. That’s the type of facility that he’s in now. He wants to show kids someday, ‘this was me when I was your age, and you can come out of it as well.’”

According to his case worker, Samuel loves computers, enjoys building things and relates well to adults and has a lot of love to give. “I think with the right family he can do so much,” Thomas said.

“He has the capacity to love, and he wants to love,” she said. “He just needs that family to take that chance on him and give him that home, like all of our kids.”

Samuel’s 13th birthday on November 20 is soon approaching, and the revealed he has only one wish, “To get adopted,” Samuel said.
