2-Year-Old Boy With Down Syndrome Celebrates 11 Months Cancer Free With Dad – Let’s Celebrate With Them

A sweet video showing a father and son duo dancing together to celebrate the little boy being 11 months cancer-free has gone viral.

The heartwarming video featuring Kenny and Kristian Thomas, was made to honor Kristian reaching the milestone of 11 months cancer-free and posted on dad Kenny’s instagram page with the caption, “Father Son chemistry…11 Months Cancer Free!! If we can do it you can do it!! Live Free!! Drop a [heart emoji] for Father Son Vibes!!!”

2-year-old Kristian, who has Down syndrome, was diagnosed with leukemia in June of 2018. The little boy proved to be a tough warrior over the next year as he underwent several rounds of treatment for his cancer.

While Kristian was in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy, his dad would dance for him in a bid to make the process easier for his son, as Kristian clapped and bounced along.

In November of 2018, little Kristian was finally declared cancer-free! 11 months later, Kenny and Kristian are still so delighted with the good news that couldn’t wait for the 1-year mark to celebrate.

In the video, Kenny who is a choreographer and dance studio owner, is all smiles and in a celebratory mood as his little boy sitting on his lap joins him in showing off cute little dance moves.

The video went viral almost the instantly after it was uploaded. The video has over 28,000 views on Instagram, with viewers elated at the positivity and love they were witnessing.

Here is the adorable video:

“We know first hand how it can be dealing with the struggles of childhood cancer. The last thing anyone wants to lose is their faith and happiness.” Kenny told UNILAD.

“I’ve been doing these videos and people have been loving them since the first one that I did. I figure why…be the dad that’s grieving and complaining about his son being in the hospital and his family being in the hospital all day? Why don’t I change things up a little bit and let’s show people how to be positive in this situation?” Kenny told Pix 11 according to the Daily Mail.

We think this father-son duo have a miraculous gift to celebrate, don’t you agree? We hope and pray Kristian continues to feel good and enjoy his best life. We are definitely looking forward to more dance videos!
