5-Year-Old Who Constantly Talks About Kindness Teaches Mother A Lesson She Will Never Forget

Every day a story comes along that reminds us of the importance of being kind to one another. Like the story of 5-year-old Oliver Navejar, who left his mother in tears after showing kindness to a police officer.

One day while Oliver was playing at a Nebraska mall, he saw police officer William Klees sitting alone at the food court.
Oliver’s mother, Danielle Navejar, wrote in a Facebook post that he stopped playing, and his attention shifted to officer Klees.
Danielle encouraged Oliver to go and talk to officer Klees. He quickly ran to the officer’s table and asked if he could sit with him. The two spoke for about 45 minutes.
Speaking to WOWT-TV, Danielle said that Oliver always talks of being kind to other people, so this act of kindness didn’t surprise her.
“He talks about kindness daily,” she said. “I mean, it’s a pretty constant thing.”
Oliver’s kind gesture and Officer Klee’s willingness to talk to Oliver for so long moved Danielle to tears.
The encounter between Officer Klees and Oliver sparked a dream in Oliver’s life. He said he wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
Thankfully, Danielle took a picture of her son and the officer and shared it on Facebook. If you see the photos of the two, you would agree that it is the small things in life that really matter.
