A young couple from Essex was left shocked after their baby skipped the crawling stage and started walking just six months.
Ryan and Grace Minter were completely caught off guard when baby Freya skipped crawling and went straight to walking.
“Freya was able to stand up whilst holding on to our fingers for balance,” Grace told Daily Mail. “By the time she was four-months-old.”
As per Baby Center, most babies take their first steps between 9 and 12 months. They don’t learn walking on their own until they are between 14 and 17 months.
According to Grace, Freya was always ahead of her peers. “It was only when I spoke to friends and brought her to baby groups; I realized that she is so advanced.”
Freya’s first steps did not surprise Grace alone, but also friends and family.
“People have been amazed by her walking at playgroup, and they love how her face is either one of sheer determination or a great big smile,’ she told Daily Mail.
Freya is believed to be one of the youngest babies to have ever started walking at a young age, as per Daily Mail.
