It should have been the happiest day of her life, instead, it turned into a time for grieving after a drunk driver killed her husband to be. However heartbroken she was, the Indiana bride chose to honor her deceased fiance with a touching photoshoot on what would have been their wedding day.

Jessica Padgett and Kendall Murphy were all set to wed on September 29, 2018 but tragedy struck and all their plans fell apart.

Kendall, a volunteer firefighter, was killed while assisting a car crash victim on the 10th of November 2017.  The driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

On their would be wedding day, Jessica’s mom set up a photo shoot for her daughter as a way to honor Kendall and help Jessica heal from the devastating heartbreak.

Jessica wore her wedding dress, had her hair and make up done and took portraits in front of her would be husband’s grave.

To make the day even much more special, the entire wedding party decided to show up and show love and support to this strong woman.

They took lots of pictures together and were simply there for Jessica at a time she needed all their comfort. Members of the community even wrote letters to Jessica, there were enough for her to read a new one every single day for the next six months.

After the pictures were posted online, the story quickly went viral touching many people’s hearts across the world as they expressed their sympathy and condolences.

Its so heartwarming to see friends and family show up and show out for Jessica during one of the most difficult times in her life. Our prayers go out to this brave bride.
