A bull named Bandit was locked up in captivity all his life. He had no idea how the outdoors felt like, never had a taste of fresh grass or experienced the luxury to walk around freely.
Instead, he spent both days and nights standing in a narrow cage and had probably accepted that his fate was to live out his life in the small enclosure.
Fortunately, Christian, an animal lover, heard about Bandit’s situation and knew he had to do something. He immediately started planning to rescue Bandit and his friends from their crowded barn.
When Christian visited Bandit, he walked up to him and gently signaled to the bull that he wasn’t there to harm him.
In the video, it’s easy to see that Bandit had not experienced any affection love from a human before. A few moments later Bandit seems to realize that Christian was just there to help.
Did you know that cattle and dairy cows are really sensitive animals? In 2014, Daniel Weary, a professor in the Animal Welfare Program at the University of British Columbia in Canada, showed that cows’ brains can be permanently reshaped as a result of early life trauma.
“The cows he studied were deeply affected by the emotional and physical pain of early separation from their mothers and dehorning, which changed the brain in a way that led to a negative cognitive bias akin to pessimism.” Daily Mail wrote.
This video has racked up more than 28 MILLION views on Youtube and its still melting millions of hearts across the world.
Watch the video below to see Bandit’s emotional reaction when Christian unchains him and gives him a second chance in life. Its so amazing to see this sweet animal’s experience freedom for the first time.
