Homeless Woman Is Captured In a Video Doing Happy Dance After Landing Her First Job In Years

A restaurant manager captured a homeless woman in a video doing a happy dance moment after acing her job interview.

We all know the happiness that comes with landing a new job, especially when you have been unemployed for a long time — it has to be the greatest feeling ever.

Kallayah Jones was really excited after nailing her interview for a serving position at The Spot Restaurant in Decatur, Georgia.

Dakara Spence, the Atlanta restaurant’s hiring manager, had no idea that Kallayah has been through so much in her young life.

Kallayah has been homeless for the past two years and lost several jobs in recent months because of the ongoing pandemic.

Kallayah wanted a fresh start when she walked into Dakara’s office for an interview. Her charming personality and cheerful nature struck her as good employee material.

“She had a great energy I felt it as soon as she walked in she seemed really positive,” Dakara told CBS 46.

Kallayah left the interview confident that she had the job. She didn’t notice that Dakara was watching her walk from the restaurant back to her car on the security surveillance.

As Kallayah walked back to her car, she paused for a moment at the parking lot and glanced around to see if someone was watching — she then broke into a happy dance that left the manager all smiles.

“I called her phone and I said ‘I’m going to hire you’ and ‘I seen your happy dance so you can continue dancing,'” DaKara explained. “She was just screaming through the phone and it was just a beautiful moment for me.”

Dakara shared the video on her Facebook page with the caption, “I just hired this young girl, and this was her response.” The video has since gone viral.

The two have since become good friends once Kallayah officially started working at the restaurant. Dakara is happy she made the decision to hire her.
