Husband Gives Wife a Birthday Cake Shaped Like Her Favorite Thing: An Amazon Package

When his wife’s birthday came around, Waylon McGuire had just the perfect gift idea to give his wife. He ordered a cake shaped like one of her most favorite things- an Amazon package box complete with an edible label and tape!

“I laughed so hard. I thought it was a real box at first,” said Emily McGuire.

Now, anyone with an Amazon addiction knows the feeling a brown delivery box on your doorstep brings. Emily McGuire happens to be an avid Amazon shopper who gets two or three Amazon deliveries each week.

Turns out her husband had noticed her addiction and knew just what would be the best way to crown her birthday.

The incredible chocolate cake was created by Sweet Dreams Bakery in North Carolina. The cake cost about $50 and was very delicious according to Emily.

Emily revealed that the surprise made her feel truly understood by her husband. “In that moment, I knew my husband ‘gets me.” the mom of three told CafeMom.

The cake, shared on the Facebook page Kitchen Fun with My 3 Sons, has resonated with many other Amazon fans racking up more than 19,000 shares and 16,000 comments.

“I need this,” wrote one woman. “I seriously have a package coming every day this week and two more before the 31st.”

“Have to do for moms birthday for sure,” one daughter shared. “She [gets] one at least every other day.”

“All fun and games until you sleepwalk and start chewing on a cardboard box thinking it’s a cake,” joked someone else.

The cake took Trena Norris, the co-owner of Sweet Dreams Bakery, eight hours to complete and is entirely edible, down to the label and tape, which are made of sugar and wafer paper.

Emily said her husband has never done something like this before, but now it might be a new tradition!
