For a long time, bikers are stereotyped to be loud, violent and tattooed up guys. However, that is not always the case. As a matter of fact, some bikers are the sweetest and most kind-hearted people there are. Rescue Ink is a good example of that fact.
The group boasts of big, well-built guys with tattoos on their skin. Sure they do look tough and no-nonsense, but they are simply sweet men dedicated to making the world a better place by putting an end to animal abuse.
According to the group’s website, Rescue Ink is a non-profit organization which exists for the advocacy and protection of all animals. The group consists of the young, old, male, female and from various professions. Some are full-time bikers, others are detectives, former police officers, weightlifters and lawyers. But they are all bound by one passion, their love for animals, keeping them safe and saving animals in need.
Rescue Ink regularly intervenes in alleged dog-fighting rings, and their efforts aren’t restricted to dogs alone. They have been able to also save cats, pigs, horses, fish, chickens and even once a 5-ft boa constrictor snake!
The groups mission statement reads, “Rescue Ink does whatever necessary within the means of the law, that’s what our lawyers tell us to say, to fight abuse and neglect of all kinds.
Some people like to think of us as superheroes. The truth is, we are super animal lovers (and protectors). Through the years, and through many caseloads, obstacles, and downright challenges, we remain strong and dedicated to our mission.”
When Rescue Ink hears of any animal abuse going on, they immediately get there and rescue the animal before getting it into rehabilitation.
The group only investigated the cases of animal abuse, if a criminal was involved, they contacted the police. If an animal owner was unable to take good care of the pet, the group would build a dog house or help in some other way.
The members of Rescue Ink are so dedicated that once, one of them spent almost 2 weeks carrying a small kitten with him everywhere as he needed to feed him every few hours.
Another biker also got into a pond near a sewer in order to save a duck.
The Rescue Ink also teaches adults and kids to help them realize that animal abuse is wrong.
Looking at these guys, they are certainly not people you want to mess with, but that’s only if you’re abusing an innocent animal. Otherwise, it’s clear they are such kind-hearted people who adore animals and are focused in making the world a better place.
We think Rescue Ink deserve a round of applause for all their incredible work!
