Shocking pictures show a two year old child’s feet covered in burns and blisters after they were dipped into boiling water by her step-grandmother.
The sickening incident occurred on August 11th when baby Kaylee Robinson was being babysat by her step-grandmother, Jennifer Vaughn, at her home in Chattanooga. Vaughn has now been charged with aggravated child abuse and is being held on a $150,000 bond.
The toddler’s mom, Brittany Smith, revealed that Vaughn admitted to dipping her baby’s feet in the boiling water because she was ‘having a bad day’.

Rhea County Sheriff’s Department detective, Rocky Potter, told ABC 2 that the toddler’s injuries were ‘the worst scald burns I’ve ever seen’.
Doctors where baby Kaylee is being treated are referring to her injuries as ‘sock burns’, because they look as if she is wearing a pink pair of socks.
Kaylee’s mom explained to Metro that her baby’s wounds appear to be getting worse with time. “It’s terrible, it’s just so stressful. Kaylee has had two operations so far, but they haven’t worked. The skin is not really repairing itself in the way the doctors hoped it would. She’s in a lot of pain.” Smith said.
“They [surgeons] are going to take some skin from her thigh next week to try and repair her feet.” The heartbroken mom added.
Smith also revealed that Kaylee ‘is at high risk of infection and could end up losing her feet’.
Smith explained to Metro that she had taken her two older children swimming, leaving baby Kaylee with Vaughn, who is the mother of her fiancé. Not long after dropping the baby off at Vaughn’s home, though, she got a call telling her to come back.
“I could hear Kaylee screaming in the background.” Smith recalled. “She said that I had to come home right away.”
At first, Vaughn lied to Smith and told her she had only left Kaylee in the bath. She eventually confessed saying she had dipped Kaylee’s feet in boiling water because she was ‘misbehaving’.

“It’s not right. There is nothing in this world that a two-year-old can do, no matter how bad they lashed out at you.” Smith told ABC 2.
We can’t even begin to imagine the pain this innocent child must be going through. We hope justice will be served.
We’re sending our thoughts and prayers to baby Kaylee!
A GoFundMe has been set up to help with Kaylee’s medical costs.
