Texas – Aaron Tamez, 17, from Texas has inspired thousands of people on twitter after he posted a photo of himself rocking an awesome t-shirt with an inspiring message on it.
The 17 year old was inspired to buy the shirt, which reads: ‘Why be racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic when you could just be quiet’, from Green Box Shop. Aaron has been a victim of homophobic abuse in the past.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Aaron said: ‘It inspired me because I can relate to it so much, because people can be very rude.’
According to Aaron, being the recipient of people’s ruthlessness has helped him shape his life. He said: ‘I believe it has made me a better person and into a person that I am proud to be.’
Aaron said the shirt ‘spoke’ to him, and that he feels the shirt’s message is a simple one – ‘If you have nothing nice to say, just don’t say it at all’.
Aaron loved the message on shirt so much that he decided to wear it to school. His friend snapped a photo of Aaron modelling it, and he decided to post it to Twitter
What Aaron didnt expect is his message reaching out thousands of people on social media.
