This Dog Dad Devised a Brilliant Way to Trim His Pup’s Nails!

Published

on

If your dog is not particularly excited at the prospect of having his nails clipped at home or at the groomer, you will definitely want to borrow this canine parent’s brilliant DIY solution. Patrick Peifer, from Minnesota, recently came up with the perfect grooming getup for his family’s rescue dog, Oliver. The clever trick is now going viral thanks to his daughter who shared the image on Twitter. The dad cut a few holes in the bottom of an inexpensive purse he bought at Goodwill and just like that his dog now got a cozy, hanging harness.

Patrick was inspired to create the bag harness after seeing a similar gizmo designed to help anxious pooches. Speaking to Buzzfeed, his daughter Kendal said, “It’s very difficult to keep him still while clipping nails. He saw the idea to hang a dog from a doorway to clip nails, so he bought the purse to be cheaper. It was his DIY project for the night.”

Soon after testing it out, Kendal snapped a picture of Oliver, her dad, and the purse and shared it on Twitter. In no time, the image quickly racked up more than 333,000 likes including several comments from people wanting to know more about the inventor. While it’s not clear whether it was the dog hack or the dog dad that made this photo go viral, we know there’s a lot to appreciate in Kendal’s post.

Heartbreaking Note Asks For Thief To Return Photos Of Dog’s Last Day Alive

People online are widely sharing a letter stuck to a lamppost in Toronto, Ontario, that has a heartbreaking request for a burglar.

The unknown writer says a man got in their house robbed them, taking their cash and their DSLR camera, but they don’t care about that. They only want the precious memories of their dog which they had stored in a memory card in the camera.

The sign reads, “To the man who was in my house and robbed me. Keep the cash, and my DSLR, and whatever else you took.

But if you have the memory card from the camera, please, it has photos of my dog’s last day alive on it.  I cannot replace those photos.

Please throw it on to the porch or put it in the mail slot. Or mail it. Please. She died a few days ago. I cannot lose those photos as well.”

Being robbed is totally sickening, and the victim shouldn’t have to put up with any of their belongings being taken, but it shows just how much they love and care about their dog that the only thing they want back is those photos.

The internet was just as touched by the writer’s plea and people have been spreading the letter like wildfire on social media with hope that it might reach the thief.

A Facebook user, Saoirse Morgan, is one of the people who have shared the letter. On a post, Saoirse wrote, “Photo taken at Bloor and Lansdowne. This is simply heartbreaking. I hope this person does the right thing.”

The post was shared more than 27,000 times and has received lots of comments from people hoping the robber will be kind and return the memory card.

They say dogs are man’s best friend, and we could agree more. Once you have a dog in your life, they are not just your pet, they become family.

So you can imagine the pain and heartbreak this Ontario man must be feeling when the last memories of his furry best-friend were stolen from. We hope the thief gets to see this and does the right thing. Please share widely.

Huge Python Slithers Down Bathroom Light Just As Kids Were Brushing Their Teeth

A five- foot long python slithered out of a bathroom light as two children brushed their teeth before going to bed. The chilling incident happened at a home in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The horrified family immediately called a snake catcher, Bryce Lockett, to remove the snake which was now hanging from the ceiling.

Lockett revealed that the children were quite shaken up but he was able to remove the snake and he eventually released it into a nearby creek after removing it from the home.

“I’ve been catching snakes for about seven years now, I’ve seen them all in various situations. People are generally quite terrified of them but I’ve owned snakes my whole life so I’m not too fazed” Lockett said.

He further added that in Australia as many as one in three individuals have snakes hidden in their residences, but very few slither down light bulbs into households.

“Carpet pythons are nocturnal and coldblooded, which is why this one must have slithered down to enjoy the heat of the lamp – they’re harmless but they don’t like to be disturbed.” Lockett explained.

There was no word as to whether or not the kids could go to bed without getting nightmares after the incident.

Dog Was Surrendered To Shelter With 2 Garbage Bags Full Of His Bed And All His Toys

A dog named Wall-E, from the hit Disney movie, was first adopted from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) back in 2015.

Everyone was happy and thought that Wall-E had found his forever family and home. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The poor dog was returned to the same shelter three years later. With him, Wall-E had two garbage bags that carried his bed and all his toys.

The shelter explained in a post that the family’s decision to return the dog was a hard one, and that the family members were heartbroken and in tears when they dropped him off.

“This guy deserves a forever family who won’t give up on him. Please don’t bash his previous owners though. We don’t know the whole story. What we do know is the owner was heartbroken and crying. It was hard to finally help them leave. The staff was crying with the owners. We don’t believe this decision was taken lightly.”

“He was surrendered by his family because they did not have enough time for him. He was very scared. In his kennel, he would bark and bark.” Jordan Bader, the manager of the shelter’s Facebook page, told The Dodo.

The shelter posted a picture of Wall-E with his belongings on their Facebook page with a plea for a new home for the poor dog. The heartbreaking picture went viral.

“Here is Wall-E when he was getting surrendered by his owner. They brought all his stuff.. like it was gonna be there with him 2 months later in his kennel.” The staff wrote on the picture.

Two months after the picture was posted, a woman, named Lynn Lee, saw the post and heard about Wall-E’s story.

Lynn Lee made her way to the shelter and met the viral star. She fell in love with Wall-E instantly and decided to adopt him immediately.
