Woman Gives Birth To Healthy Triplets Weeks After Beating The Coronavirus

The novel Coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on the lives of many people across the globe.

Many people have lost their lives because of the virus — but on a positive note, we have also seen more people recover from it, like Maggie, who gave birth to triplets weeks after beating the virus.

When Maggie was 28 weeks pregnant, she tested positive for COVID-19 after a routine checkup on May 8, 2020.

Due to protocol, Maggie was tested for COVID-19 and learned just two days later, on mother’s day, that she had contracted the virus. This is according to an Instagram post shared by the hospital.

In the photo, Maggie could be seen wearing a mask while holding her bundles of joy.

The hospital captioned the photo: “Meet the firecracker who beat COVD-19 during her 3rd trimester then delivered healthy triplets with an attitude brighter than fireworks on July 4.”

When diagnosed, Maggie was concerned about “everyone but herself,” the hospital revealed. Maggie also has a 5-year-old boy at home.

“On June 4… with the final two [tests] negative, Maggie learned during her weekly ultrasound that “Baby A’s” cord was wrapped around her neck, and she would have a C-section that day at 4 p.m.,” the hospital shared on Instagram.

Sadly Maggie’s husband wasn’t allowed in the delivery room because he had also tested positive for Coronavirus and was cleared in the first follow-up test — but hadn’t received his second negative test. Her mother was her “one support person during labor,” the hospital revealed.

“At 4:51 p.m., “Baby A,” Isabella, was born at 3.11 lbs. At 4:53 p.m., “Baby B,” Nathaniel, was born at 3.7 lbs. Finally, at 4:55 p.m., “Baby C,” Adriel, was born at 2.1 lbs.” said the hospital.

Maggie shared a message with other mothers on the hospital’s Facebook page: “You have to let other people help you and remember you aren’t alone. Look forward to each day and celebrate every small victory.”

The doctors were astonished by how strong Maggie was. Her babies arrived safely and healthy.
