Young Boy Thrown From Mall Of America Balcony Is Now Walking Perfectly & is Back At School

The family of Landen Hoffman, the 5 year-old boy, who was thrown from the third floor balcony of Mall of America, are thanking Jesus as the boy continues to show signs of recovery.

Things looked pretty bad for the young boy when he was senselessly thrown from the third floor balcony of the Mall of America by a man who was simply “looking for someone to kill” on April 12. Landen sustained severe head injuries and broken bones from the fall and was in critical condition for weeks.

However, the young boy has gone on to defy all odds and is now walking and back in school, the family’s GoFundMe page revealed. Landen came home from hospital in August with a limp, uneven legs from a broken femur and an open wound on the belly, the family revealed. Since then, he has gradually continued to heal and improve exceptionally well.

“He is now walking perfectly with even legs, amen. The wound has finally scabbed over and new skin is growing, and we are still optimistic he will be off some of his medications soon. He loves being back to school and going to kindergarten at the same school his twin brother and sister go to. He gets out of the car every morning happy and blows kisses all the way in! He’s a strong, happy boy.

“When his mommy asks him if she can look at his wound or asks how he’s doing, he always responds with “Mom, I’m healed, you don’t need to ask me anymore.” Landen loves life and Jesus! He tells people all the time when they get hurt, don’t worry, I fell off a cliff, but Angels caught me and Jesus loves me, so I’m ok and you will be too!” the post read.

Earlier in September, Landen’s family announced that that their little boy had completed inpatient rehabilitation and had left the hospital.

After the incident, the little boy required multiple surgeries for head trauma and broken bones. He also still needs check-up appointments going forward.

“Landen knows people all over the world are praying for him and he loves all the cards he keeps getting in the mail.

“His whole family feels the love and are so grateful for the prayers and people like you who care so much about others! There was one bad person, but from that came millions of good people.” his family said.

The man responsible for the attack, 24-year-old Emmanuel Aranda, was not known to Landen’s family, and told investigators that he had gone to the mall on that day simply “looking for someone to kill”, the criminal complaint states.

Aranda was charged with attempted premeditated murder and was sentenced to 19 years in prison.

We have been praying for Landen since the incident and are so happy to hear that he is doing well.

God bless this little fighter and grant him a speedy recovery.
