Meghan Markle goes makeup-free in new video, fans praise her natural look
The Duchess of Sussex embraces a fresh-faced style in a rare, unfiltered appearance.
Despite speculation about struggles in her career, Meghan Markle is pushing forward with her business ventures in the U.S., including a new Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan. The series was delayed due to the tragic Los Angeles wildfires but is now set to premiere in early March. Meanwhile, Prince Harry has been focusing on the Invictus Games, leading to rumors of a “professional separation” between the couple.
Years after signing a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix, Meghan Markle is taking center stage with her own lifestyle and cooking series. With Love, Meghan is an eight-episode show filmed at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Montecito mansion. The series will feature Meghan cooking with celebrity guests and sharing lifestyle tips.
The lineup of guests includes notable names such as actress Abigail Spencer, chef Roy Choi, actress-producer Mindy Kaling, and restaurateur Alice Waters.
“I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it,” Meghan shared on Instagram when she posted the trailer.
While rumors circulated that Netflix might not renew its deal with the Sussexes, Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria reassured fans that the company is still committed to working with them. Bajaria described the show as “a great take on a lifestyle show” and expressed excitement about its potential success.
Meghan’s social media comeback
After years of staying off social media, Meghan recently returned to Instagram, where she has already gained over two million followers. In early February, she posted a heartwarming video revealing her efforts to help a teenage girl who lost a Billie Eilish concert T-shirt in the California wildfires. Meghan personally reached out to the singer, who sent signed merchandise as a gift.
“Huge thank you, Billie Eilish, this is going to mean so much to her,” Meghan said excitedly in the video.
In her Instagram caption, she also thanked first responders and encouraged continued support for wildfire victims.
A natural, makeup-free look sparks discussion
While Meghan’s charitable act earned praise, another detail in her video caught people’s attention—her no-makeup appearance. Meghan has previously faced rumors of plastic surgery, but she has always emphasized her preference for natural beauty.
In an old interview with Allure, Meghan revealed her simple approach to beauty:
“I don’t wear foundation in real life. My routine is very simple—I call it the five-minute face.”
Her former makeup artist, Spencer Barnes, also praised her effortless style, stating:
“When I worked with Meghan, she was all about skin! She wanted her skin to look like skin but enhanced—glowing, radiant, and healthy.”
What’s next for Meghan?
Along with With Love, Meghan, the Duchess has been building her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. However, experts believe she still has a long way to go before fully establishing herself in the competitive lifestyle space.
Royal commentator Helena Chard told Fox News:
“In time, she may find success in the lifestyle world, but this will take a long time… The show feels inauthentic.”
Despite mixed opinions, Meghan remains focused on her growing brand. With her new series and renewed online presence, it seems she is determined to carve out her own path.
