LeBron James shares an update after his 18-year-old son, Bronny James, suffered a heart attack
Basketball star LeBron James recently talked about his son, Bronny, who had a scary moment. Bronny, who is 18, passed out while playing basketball at his school, the University of Southern California. LeBron said thank you to everyone who had sent kind messages and thoughts after his son’s sudden health scare.
Bronny wasn’t feeling well during practice and ended up going to the hospital in a very fast ambulance with lights flashing and sirens wailing. He stayed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a big hospital, for almost a day in a special section for very sick people (ICU). After that, he moved to a part of the hospital where the patients aren’t as sick. On Thursday, LeBron shared more information about how Bronny was doing.
I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your…

LeBron expressed his thanks to everyone who showed his family love and sent good wishes. He said they could really feel the love and it meant a lot to them. He also shared that everyone in his family was safe and healthy. He said he would share more information when they were ready, but for now, he just wanted everyone to know how important their support was for his family.
As of now, we don’t know what Bronny’s journey to get better will look like. As a new college student, he might have a lot to work on as he gets better.
Some health experts believe that Bronny will be okay. This is because he didn’t stay long in the ICU, which is where very sick people are taken care of. Dr. Jonathan Drezner, a heart doctor at the University of Washington Medical Center, explained to CNN that the longer a person’s heart stops working (which is what happens in a cardiac arrest), the more damage can happen to their heart, brain, and body. But Bronny’s quick move from the ICU to a less serious part of the hospital shows that he might not have a lot of damage, which is a good thing.
So, as Bronny keeps getting better from his heart issue, let’s continue to keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
