Kid hurts himself at playground and looks really different—his mom has a warning for all parents

Kids often make mistakes as they grow up, and sometimes they can be influenced by their friends. Even smart kids can be persuaded to do risky things.

For example, 11-year-old Tyler Broome got seriously hurt trying a dangerous trend from YouTube called ‘the roundabout of death’.

Kids sometimes do things to show their friends how brave they are. This was the case for Tyler, who wanted to prove his courage.

At 11 years old, Tyler got injuries similar to what fighter pilots might get because of the high force from spinning too fast.

He tried a dangerous trend called the ’roundabout of death’. In this, kids sit on a playground roundabout, and it’s spun quickly using a motorcycle’s back wheel.

After trying the dangerous game, Tyler was found passed out near the roundabout. He might have damage to his brain and eyes.

The force he felt is usually only felt by pilots and space travelers.

It seems Tyler was at a park with a friend when some older teens dared them to do this game.

Tyler’s mom, Dawn, spoke to The Independent, a British newspaper. She said, “I don’t recognise my child – he is on the verge of having a stroke. Tyler sat on the roundabout, and the boy who came over was about 17. Tyler doesn’t know him, they are not friends.”

“He puts his motorbike on the floor, gets the roundabout spinning at such a speed. When they all stopped, the group just cleared off – it is bullying.”

Dawn also said that the hospital had never seen injuries like Tyler’s before. They had to look up information before they could treat him.

Dawn said, “The injuries were so extreme, he just looked like the Elephant Man. They have never seen it before, they are going to make a medical report from it. His head has completely swelled up, his blood vessels have burst, his eyes look alien. His vision is blurry. You can manage a broken arm but this? He doesn’t remember it, he doesn’t remember the detail.”

Parents, always remember that kids might try things that adults know to avoid.

We hope Tyler and his family recover soon. Please share this story to warn others about this dangerous game.
