John Schneider tears up while talking about his late wife
John Schneider, famous for his role as Bo Duke in the classic TV show “Dukes of Hazzard,” has had quite a journey in love and life. He’s been married three times, but it was his third marriage to Alicia Allain that touched many hearts.
John and Alicia’s story began amidst some challenges, as John was still finalizing his divorce from his second wife when they decided to marry.
But love found a way, and they had a beautiful wedding on September 25, 2019, at John Schneider Studios in Louisiana. Both felt incredibly happy that day, surrounded by friends and family in what they called a “sanctuary of love.”
Sadly, their happiness was short-lived. Alicia passed away in February 2023 at just 53 years old after battling a severe form of cancer. John shared his deep sadness on social media, remembering Alicia as his “beautiful Smile” who is now “My beautiful Smile is pain-free, living in her new body alongside Jesus.”
Since losing Alicia, John has found comfort in music, a passion they both shared. He poured his feelings into a new album called “We Are Still Us,” which he dedicated to Alicia. Creating the album was bittersweet, as it reminded him of the times they spent making music together.
John has also started a daily ritual of writing letters to Alicia, keeping her memory alive in his heart and thoughts. Despite the pain, he continues to share his journey, hoping to help others who are dealing with loss.
John’s story shows us the power of love and the strength it gives us, even in the toughest times. It’s a reminder that those we love never truly leave us; they live on in our memories and the stories we share.
