Arnold Schwarzenegger says heaven is “fantasy” and calls people who believe in it “f*****g liars”
Renowned actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has triggered a heated debate online with his recent comments regarding the concept of afterlife.
The Terminator star openly expressed his view that heaven is nothing more than a “fantasy,” causing a stir and sparking conflicting responses across internet communities.
The actor’s strong statements didn’t stop at expressing his disbelief in heaven; he also labeled anyone who believes in an afterlife as a “liar.” These comments, although not unusual from the candid Schwarzenegger, have given rise to a renewed discussion on what happens after death.
Despite being 75 years old, Schwarzenegger, who once served as the Governor of California, maintains a firm belief that nothing awaits us after this life, directly challenging widespread beliefs about the afterlife.
In a recent interview with Interview Magazine, Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke straightforwardly about his views on life after death. Recalling a question from radio personality Howard Stern about what happens when we die, Schwarzenegger stated bluntly, ‘Nothing. You’re six feet under. Anyone that tells you something else is a f****** liar’.”
The veteran actor and former Mr. Olympia champion also asserted that once we pass away, our physical interactions as we know them will cease to exist. He clarified, “We don’t know what happens with the soul and all this spiritual stuff that I’m not an expert in, but I know that the body as we see each other now, we will never see each other again like that.” His words reflect his firm belief in the finality of physical life, regardless of spiritual or metaphysical beliefs.
As expected, Schwarzenegger’s statements sparked a significant backlash on social media platforms. Later in the interview, he further stirred controversy by describing the concept of heaven as mere “fantasy”. Referring to the comforting belief that loved ones will meet again in the afterlife, he said, “When people talk about, ‘I will see them again in heaven’, it sounds so good, but the reality is that we won’t see each other again after we’re gone.”
Schwarzenegger concluded his thought on a melancholic note, acknowledging the distressing aspect of his beliefs. He stated, “That’s the sad part. I know people feel comfortable with death, but I don’t.” This admission reveals a stark contrast between his views and those who find solace in the notion of an afterlife.
Reports suggest that Schwarzenegger, whose career spans from bodybuilding to acting to politics, will delve deeper into his personal beliefs in his new Netflix documentary, “Arnold”, which premiered on June 7.
