Donny Osmond shares heartfelt farewell to family, posts sweet photo with grandkids on Instagram

The Osmond brothers’ rise to fame in the 1970s created a wave of excitement known as “Osmondmania.” Among them, Donny Osmond stood out, charming fans with his sweet personality and soaring solo career.

Donny’s journey began remarkably early, performing at just five years old. His career has flourished for decades, and even now, it shows no signs of slowing down.

In 2019, Donny and his sister Marie ended their 11-year Las Vegas residency. This fall, Donny will return to Harrah’s Hotel and Casino for his first solo residency since then. After that, he’ll fly to the UK for the show “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” where he will play the Pharaoh, a role he’s excited to take on after years of playing Joseph.

But before his UK stint, Donny is embarking on a North American tour. Despite his busy schedule, he always prioritizes his family. Married for 45 years to his wife Debra, they have five sons and 14 grandchildren. Family, he says, is what balances his life.

“Family is the most important thing,” Donny told People magazine. “The curtain will come down eventually, and then what do you have?”

Preparing for his tour, Donny shared a glimpse of his family time with fans. He posted a photo of himself and his grandkids at the pool, playing with a giant inflatable peacock, a nod to his appearance as the peacock on the first season of “Masked Singer.”

“Enjoying a final swim at home with my grandkids before the long US summer tour begins this Friday in Milwaukee,” he captioned. “Thanks to Sue Pearson from Leeds in the UK who gave me that inflatable peacock during my tour over there. We’ve had so much fun with it.”

Fans flooded the comments with praise for Donny’s family values and excitement for the upcoming tour. One fan wrote, “Your happiness and precious family makes you smile, and that is why you’re always happy on stage.” Another added, “Can’t wait to see you in Louisville.”

Others linked the peacock to his “Masked Singer” appearance, with one fan saying, “Love the peacock… you should have won!”

It’s heartwarming to see Donny Osmond enjoying life with his loved ones. Share this story with your friends and family on Facebook!
