Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb were once famous faces on our TV screens. They worked together on the ‘Today’ show for many years. Although it’s been a while since they hosted together, they still keep in touch.
Recently, Hoda Kotb, who is now 59 years old, told her fans what Kathie has been doing lately. On a show segment called ‘Faves and Finds,’ Kotb played a new song written by Gifford named ‘3 Little Words.’ She also shared more about her friend’s life now.
Kotb said, “Kat is really enjoying her life. She’s in Nashville, writing music and spending time with her adorable grandchildren. She’s also releasing great music. We send our love to Kat.”
Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb started working together on the ‘Today’ show in 2008. Gifford left the show in April 2019, and Jenna Bush Hager, who often stepped in for her, took over her role.
Gifford left the show after facing personal losses. Her husband passed away in 2015, and then she lost her mother too. This made her realize she needed to make the most of her time. She once told Jimmy Fallon on his show, “I’ve come to a point in life where I’ve lost my husband, my parents, and my children have grown up. Now, I have the chance and the freedom to do anything I want.”
Since leaving the ‘Today’ show, Gifford has moved to Nashville. There, she’s been busy with many projects, like writing a book and working on a dream project, and of course, watching her three grandchildren grow up.
