Michael Jordan is celebrating his 60th birthday by making a generous donation of $10 million to the Make-A-Wish foundation. This is the biggest donation ever made by an individual to the foundation, which works towards fulfilling the wishes of children who are suffering from critical illnesses.

Jordan expressed his joy in supporting the cause and said that there is no better way to celebrate his birthday than to encourage others to also contribute to Make-A-Wish. He hopes that every child can have the opportunity to experience the joy of having their wishes come true.

“I can’t think of a better birthday gift than seeing others join me in supporting Make-A-Wish so that every child can experience the magic of having their wish come true,” Jordan said.

“For the past 34 years, it’s been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids,” the basketball legend said in a news release. “Witnessing their strength and resilience during such a tough time in their lives has truly been an inspiration.”

Jordan has been working with Make-A-Wish since 1989 and has granted many wishes over the years. He is still a very popular celebrity choice for the organization. In 2008, he was honored with the title of Make-A-Wish Chief Wish Ambassador due to the significant impact he has had on the lives of wish kids and their families.

Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish, expressed her gratitude to Jordan for his kind donation. She also expressed her hope that Jordan’s act of generosity would inspire others to donate as well.

“Michael using his birthday as a chance to make history for Make-A-Wish speaks to the quality of his character and his loyal dedication to making life better for children with critical illnesses. We hope that the public will be inspired to follow in his footsteps by helping make wishes come true.”
