Pawn Stars star Corey Harrison asks fans for help after devastating motorcycle crash
The reality TV personality says soaring medical bills and a long recovery have left him nearly broke months after a serious accident in Mexico.
Corey Harrison, best known for his role on the hit reality series Pawn Stars, says a motorcycle accident in Mexico nearly cost him his life and has now left him struggling to cover overwhelming medical bills.
Harrison, 42, revealed that the crash in January caused severe injuries, including 11 fractured ribs, a concussion and facial trauma. The longtime reality television personality said the situation quickly turned into a medical and financial crisis as treatment costs mounted.
According to reports from entertainment outlet TMZ, Harrison initially spent two weeks in the hospital following the crash. But faced with rising expenses, he made the difficult decision to leave the hospital early and continue recovering at home in Tulum, Mexico.

That decision soon led to complications.
While recovering at home, Harrison experienced intense pain and breathing issues that required a doctor to administer IV fluids and morphine. At one point, his oxygen levels reportedly dropped dangerously low, leaving him fearing for his life.
Unable to afford returning to the same hospital where he was first treated, friends helped transport him to a more affordable medical facility. There, Harrison underwent three surgeries and spent another 18 days hospitalized.
The financial toll has been steep. Harrison estimates his medical bills have reached around $120,000. He says the costs drained his savings and forced him to borrow money from family and friends.
“I’ve got about $400 left in my bank account,” he reportedly told TMZ.
To help manage the expenses, Harrison launched a fundraising campaign through GoFundMe, asking fans for support while he continues recovering. Because of his injuries, he says he currently struggles with mobility and spends most of his time resting.

Harrison also revealed that the accident forced him to miss a major family moment. During his recovery, he was unable to attend the wedding of his father, Rick Harrison.
Rick Harrison, the owner of the Las Vegas pawn shop featured on the long-running History Channel series Pawn Stars, told TMZ that his son is responsible for handling his own situation.
“Corey is a grown man and he will deal with his life as he sees fit,” he said.
Pawn Stars, which debuted on the History Channel in 2009, became one of cable television’s most successful reality series, following the daily operations of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. The show helped turn the Harrison family into household names and introduced millions of viewers to the world of pawn brokering.
While Harrison says he still receives occasional residual payments from reruns of the show, he is no longer actively involved in filming.
For now, the reality star says his focus remains on recovery. The accident, he says, changed his life in an instant and reminded him how fragile health and finances can be.
