Top psychologist warns Trump’s behavior may signal worsening mental decline
Expert claims dementia could be making Trump’s personality disorder more severe
A respected psychologist has raised serious concerns about Donald Trump’s mental health, saying signs of dementia may be making his behavior more dangerous and unpredictable.
President Donald Trump’s mental state has once again become a major talking point, especially after a mysterious MRI exam he underwent in October at Walter Reed Medical Center.
While the White House described the procedure as “preventive,” Trump himself spoke vaguely about it, saying:
“We had an MRI, MRI and the machine, you know, the whole thing, and it was perfect… the doctors said some of the best reports for the age.”
But not everyone is convinced. Several doctors have questioned why Trump won’t say which part of his body was scanned, suggesting he might be hiding something.
Dr. John Gartner sounds the alarm
Dr. John Gartner, a psychologist, former Johns Hopkins professor, and author, shared a grim diagnosis on The Daily Beast Podcast. He believes Trump may be suffering from “malignant narcissism,” a personality disorder that he says is becoming worse with signs of dementia.
“When people develop dementia, they become the worst versions of themselves,” Gartner explained. He added that Trump’s memory issues, confused speech, and erratic social media posts are “clinical signs of dementia.”
Concerns about physical decline too
Dr. Gartner also pointed to physical issues, such as Trump’s apparent trouble raising his arm to salute during a Veterans Day event. He described it as a sign of “psychomotor deterioration,” a condition often linked to dementia or strokes.
“It appears like it is on the right side of his body… the droop with the face… the wide-based gait where he swings his leg,” Gartner noted. These symptoms, he said, are serious warning signs.
Divided opinions and a growing debate
This isn’t the first time Trump’s mental fitness has been questioned, but Gartner’s comments have added new fuel to the debate. As the 2024 election approaches, some voters are asking whether Trump is still fit to lead, especially under the intense pressures of the presidency.
On social media, reactions have been mixed. Some users echoed Gartner’s concerns, while others dismissed them as politically motivated. Regardless of the side, the topic is becoming harder to ignore.
As Trump remains a leading voice in American politics, discussions around his health—both physical and mental—are likely to intensify. The public, meanwhile, is left to weigh the evidence and ask: Is he truly fit for office?
