Carrie Underwood says her 7-year-old son Isaiah understands his mother’s job is “not normal.”

Carrie Underwood rose to prominence after winning the fourth season of the popular TV show, American Idol. Since then, her career has taken off and she has become a well-known personality.

She is currently married to Mike Fisher and has two children. Recently, Carrie Underwood kicked off her latest tour, the Denim & Rhinestones tour, and participated in promotional events, including an interview on Today.

The singer is balancing her career as a musician and her role as a mother of two. As her children grow up, she shares that they are starting to understand why she sometimes can’t be present in their lives. The singer mentioned that her 7-year-old son Isaiah is becoming more aware of her fame and what she does for a living.

She explained that her son is beginning to realize that it’s not normal for people to recognize his mother and that she does something unique. For instance, when someone tells him they saw his mom on TV, he understands that his mother’s job is not ordinary.

“I feel like, Isaiah, who’s 7½, he’s becoming more aware that it’s not normal,” she said, talking about how her son is more aware that people know who his mother is.

“He’ll go to school and someone will be like, ‘I saw your mom on TV last night,’ ” she went on. “He’s just becoming more aware that his mom does something that’s not normal.”

The famous country music singer has two sons named Isaiah and Jacob with her husband, who used to be a professional hockey player. Since both parents are public figures, their children will eventually realize it too. As she embarks on her tour, the singer is more mindful than ever about spending quality time with her kids.

She has made plans to take her boys on tour with her when they’re not in school, and she will return home whenever she gets the chance. She stated that during this tour, she plans to go home more frequently than she has in the past, even if it’s just for a day, as long as it’s feasible.

It’s challenging to be a working mother, especially when you have a high-pressure job that requires you to travel frequently. Carrie Underwood is being praised for her efforts to maintain a work-life balance in such a situation.
