Facing her concerns, Wolfe chose to undergo these significant operations. By sharing her experience, she continues to be candid about her personal life and encourages others to be proactive about their health.

“You know, for a long time, my approach to life was always: if you stumble, make it part of the dance. And until recently, I managed to stumble/dance/stumble/dance my way through everything… network television, personal training, parenting. Then I hit a pretty bumpy stretch, the most recent of which I wanted to share with you,” Wolfe shared on Instagram.

About a month ago, Wolfe discovered that she carries the BRCA1 gene. This gene increases the likelihood of developing certain types of cancer, as explained by the National Cancer Institute. Specifically, those with the gene face a higher risk of breast, ovarian, and prostate cancer.

Upon receiving the test results, Wolfe felt that there wasn’t much time to consider her options. Consequently, she decided to undergo surgery as the most logical course of action. The first surgery is a hysterectomy, which is a challenging and uncomfortable experience. Despite her fear of needles, she believes it is necessary. A more significant surgery is scheduled for two weeks later.

Wolfe acknowledged that she couldn’t help but think about her future and what it might hold.

“Am I going to be ok? Will I heal? Will I ever have the drive I once had?”

“I mean, a big chunk of my life is based around fitness and wellness. . I know I make it all look ‘cute’ on social media… but we all know it’s usually far from cute. Especially with kids.”

However, Wolfe admits that the past couple of years have been tough, with the surgeries being only a recent challenge.

She emphasizes the importance of perseverance, stating that the only way to overcome life’s challenges is by facing them head-on. Wolfe remains determined to push through these difficult times.

Her decision to share her personal health journey publicly is commendable, as it highlights the significance of regular checkups and maintaining good health. Jenna Wolfe’s openness can serve as a valuable reminder for others to prioritize their well-being.
