She passed away peacefully in hospital early this morning, Friday 27th September… she was with friends and family at the end,” they revealed. The family expressed gratitude for the care provided by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital during her final days.

Although Maggie Smith lived a very private life, her last public appearance was at Wimbledon last year. Fans were thrilled to see her looking elegant and radiant, dressed in a navy blue shirt dress with a dotted pattern, paired with black leather heels and a blue overcoat.
