Brad Pitt is upset that his daughter Shiloh wants to change her last name
In a surprising move, Shiloh, Brad Pitt’s daughter, has officially dropped “Pitt” from her last name. She made this decision on her 18th birthday, marking a significant moment in her life. This change came as a shock to Brad, who shares six children with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie.
Recent reports suggest that Shiloh isn’t the only one considering a name change. Her siblings, Vivienne, 15, and Zahara, 19, are also rumored to be thinking about dropping “Pitt” from their surnames.

Brad and Angelina, once seen as the perfect Hollywood family, have been embroiled in a bitter legal battle over a French winery since their 2019 divorce. This ongoing conflict has strained Brad’s relationship with his children.
Earlier this year, Angelina accused Brad of “physical abuse,” which she claims started before a well-known incident on a plane in 2016. Brad has denied these accusations, and although federal authorities investigated, no criminal charges were filed.
Since their split, it seems Brad has grown distant from his children. The news of Shiloh’s name change has left him deeply hurt. A source told PEOPLE, “He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter.”
The source added, “The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”
Adding to Brad’s heartbreak, it’s reported that his youngest daughter, Vivienne, might also drop “Pitt” from her name. Recently, she helped Angelina produce a musical called *The Outsiders*. In the official Playbill, her name was listed as Vivienne Jolie, not Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
Currently, Brad is dating Ines de Ramon, the ex-wife of actor Paul Wesley. Angelina is not known to be seeing anyone at this time.
