Child star Austin Majors known for ‘NYPD Blue’ dead at 27 years old
Dealing with death is always difficult, especially when it takes away someone young who had many years ahead of them. The passing of Austin Majors, a young actor, has come as a shock to many, particularly to his fans.
Austin Majors was a famous child actor who became well-known for his role in the television series NYPD Blue. Recently, TMZ reported that Majors passed away on Saturday night.

In a statement released by his family after his passing, they remembered Austin as a kind, creative, and talented person. They said that he loved acting and was an accomplished Eagle Scout. He also did very well in school, graduating as Salutatorian. He then went on to study at the School of Cinematic Arts at USC, where he pursued his passion for directing and music producing.
Austin’s younger sister Kali said that some of her happiest memories were spent with him on set, volunteering with Kids With a Cause, and going on backpacking trips together. His family said that they were incredibly proud of him and will miss him deeply.

Austin had acted in various television shows such as ER, According to Jim and Desperate Housewives. He last appeared on How I Met Your Mother in 2009.
However, his most significant acting achievement was his role as Theo Sipowicz in NYPD Blue, where he played the son of Andy Sipowicz, played by actor Dennis Franz. He won a Young Artists Award for his performance in 2002 and played the role for seven seasons.
