Sinbad, whose real name is David Atkins, was well-known for his acting and comedic talents. However, he recently suffered a severe stroke. Thankfully, he has been making progress in his recovery and has been seen in public again.

In 2020, Sinbad faced a terrible setback when he suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot that had moved from his heart to his brain.

A spokesperson for the star of “Boneheads” released a statement to the Hollywood Reporter to let people know what was happening and to remind them that Sinbad had brought happiness to many people over the years.

Two years ago, Sinbad’s family let people know that he was on the road to recovery after suffering a stroke. They were grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and said that they believed he would be able to make a full recovery and return to making people laugh. Recently, his family gave an update and said that he is now able to walk again.

Comedian Sinbad had to have an operation to remove a blood clot that was making it hard for him to move. After the surgery, the doctors found another clot and he had to have another procedure. Things got really bad and the doctors had to place him in a medically induced coma.

Throughout his recovery, his family was always by his side. Even when he was able to open his eyes a few weeks after the stroke. He started going to therapy to help him talk and do everyday tasks again. After nine months of therapy, he was able to leave the hospital and go home in July 2021. “He continues to receive therapy, fighting for every inch.” His family told People Magazine.

Sinbad’s family shared the star’s words: “I am not done. I will not stop fighting until I can walk across the stage again,” then added, “And neither will we.”

Recently, members of Sinbad’s family posted a picture on his Instagram that shows him working hard to walk again in physical therapy with the help of a walking aid. Sinbad looks very determined in the photo. His wife and adult children wrote a message with the picture, expressing their gratitude to the public for their prayers and support during this difficult time.

We will continue keeping David Atkins and his family in our prayers and wish him a full recovery.
