Missy Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” breaks heartbreaking news

Life is short and can end at any moment, which is why it’s important to make every moment count. This is something Missy Robertson knows all too well, as she recently experienced a loss.

Missy is a popular TV personality who stars on the show “Duck Dynasty”. She is also a mother in real life. Her daughter Mia was born 19 years ago and faced some challenges from the start, as she was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate.

This is a rare condition where a baby’s facial features do not develop properly during pregnancy. Over the years, Mia has undergone multiple surgeries to fix her facial features.

Her mother, Missy Robertson, credits Mia’s transformation and well-being to Dr. David Genecov, who was Mia’s surgeon for a long time.

Dr. Genecov passed away suddenly in a car accident in November 2022, and it was a shock to the Robertson family. Missy was deeply saddened by his passing and took to Instagram to express her feelings. She wrote that the family was heartbroken and that Dr. David had changed Mia’s life in a way no one else could.

Dr. Genecov was a well-known and respected pediatric craniofacial surgeon. Missy praised him for being dedicated to his job and for being a big part of Mia’s life. Despite his sudden passing, Missy will always be grateful for the impact he had on her daughter’s life.

Missy wrote “His caring nature helped calm her (and me), but his steadfast encouragement to both of us that we can do the hard things helped make both me and Mia stronger than we could have thought possible. He laughed at himself and told stories of being shorter than his patients.” She continued, “He looked Mia in the eyes at each visit and involved her in the decisions and plans he had for her health.”

She praised the doctor for how he treated her daughter Mia and other patients. She said that Dr. David treated everyone like they were true friends, not just patients. This kind of treatment made a big difference in her daughter’s life. Mia is now a college student at Lipscomb University, and she even received an academic scholarship.

Dr. David was based in Dallas, Texas, and he was the director of the International Craniofacial Institute. He had treated more than 17,000 people from 30 different countries. That’s a lot of people!

Missy wrote that Dr. David was more than what she could have asked for or imagined for her daughter’s journey. She said that she and Mia will miss him greatly, but they are very thankful for everything he did for her daughter and other cleft patients. Dr. David’s work will continue to help people for generations to come.
