Prince William and Prince Harry might only reunite at King Charles’ funeral, source claims

A shocking claim suggests the royal brothers may not reconcile until their father's passing

Prince Harry and Prince William were once close, but their relationship has drastically changed over the years. It’s been widely reported that the two haven’t spoken since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, and there is little indication that reconciliation is on the horizon.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from royal duties, they made high-profile trips to countries like Colombia and Nigeria. Despite their exit from royal life, the couple was warmly received in both countries. However, this reportedly upset Prince William and their father, King Charles.

With William being next in line to the throne, preparations for his future coronation are already underway. Unfortunately, the ongoing feud between the brothers has led to speculation that Prince Harry might not even be invited to the event.

Recently, a friend of Prince William suggested that the next time the brothers may meet could be under very somber circumstances.

The Feud Intensifies

Tensions within the Royal Family escalated after the release of Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, in early 2023. In the book, Harry openly criticized senior royals, including his brother, Prince William. One particularly shocking revelation detailed a physical altercation between the brothers in 2019 at Harry’s London residence.

Harry recounted that the fight began when William referred to Meghan Markle as “abrasive,” “rude,” and “difficult.” Harry believed William was repeating negative media narratives. The confrontation turned physical, with William reportedly grabbing Harry by the collar, breaking his necklace, and pushing him to the floor.

Harry also claimed that William urged him to fight back, as they had when they were children. But Harry refused. Although William later apologized, Harry stated that the incident left him with visible injuries.

The Royal Family has remained silent about the claims, as they have done with most of Harry and Meghan’s public comments.

Unsuccessful Reconciliation Attempts

King Charles wasn’t present for the 2019 altercation, but he later attempted to mediate between his sons. After Prince Philip’s funeral in 2021, Charles, William, and Harry met at Frogmore Cottage to discuss the ongoing issues. According to Harry, the meeting quickly became heated, and the hoped-for reconciliation didn’t happen.

In his memoir, Harry described the encounter, writing that he tried to explain his side of things, but felt cut off whenever he spoke. Their father intervened during the argument, pleading, “Please, boys, don’t make my final years a misery.”

While the confrontation didn’t lead to any resolution, it highlighted how deep the divide between the brothers had grown.

Tensions Over Titles and Names

The rift between the brothers and their wives has also played a role in the conflict. According to a source close to Prince William, Harry and Meghan refused to address William’s wife, Catherine, by her preferred name, instead calling her “Kate.” This reportedly angered William, who considered it disrespectful, especially given that Catherine had been dealing with a serious illness.

The source explained that William’s frustration wasn’t just about the name but also about the larger context of the strained relationships within the family.

Will Harry Attend William’s Coronation?

As planning for Prince William’s eventual coronation begins, rumors swirl about whether Harry will be invited. A friend of the brothers told The Times that the two haven’t spoken in nearly two years, and that William may choose not to invite Harry to the event.

Still, some royal experts believe that Harry will be present at William’s coronation, despite the tension. Author Christopher Andersen told Fox News that while relations are at an all-time low, William likely won’t exclude his brother when the time comes.

A Possible Reunion at a Tragic Event

While many hope for a reconciliation, a friend of William’s shared a more somber prediction. The source suggested that the next time the brothers may see each other could be at their father’s funeral. The same source claimed that William feels deeply betrayed by Harry’s actions, especially after the two shared such a close bond growing up.

William and Harry’s relationship may have been fractured by recent events, but many still hope that they will one day make amends.
