Prince William has been with Kate Middleton daily—but their children haven’t visited her yet
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is currently recovering from a planned abdominal surgery.
The surgery, which took place at The London Clinic, was successful, and Kate is expected to stay in the hospital for up to two weeks. During this time, she will be stepping back from public duties and official engagements until after Easter.
The news of Kate’s hospitalization came as a surprise to many, and details about her condition have been limited. Kensington Palace, in their statement, emphasized Kate’s desire for privacy regarding her medical information and her wish to maintain normality for her children. They also mentioned that updates on her progress would only be shared when there is significant new information.
In the meantime, Kate’s husband, Prince William, has been a pillar of support. He has been visiting her daily at the hospital while also taking care of their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Reports suggest that the children have been continuing with their school routine and spending time with Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.
Kate, known for her active involvement in her children’s lives and school activities, is likely keeping in touch with them through video calls. Royal editor Emily Nash commented on Kate’s dedication to her family, noting that she and William are very hands-on parents, often participating in school runs and attending their children’s events. While Kate is in hospital, William is ensuring that life at home remains as normal as possible for their children.
This situation has also brought to light the health of King Charles III, who is currently undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate. As a result, some of his public engagements have been postponed.
The royal family’s commitment to their duties, alongside managing personal health challenges, continues to draw public interest and sympathy. We are sending our best wishes to Kate for a speedy recovery.
